Milun Tesovic is the Co-Founder and CTO of MetroLyrics. Using his innate understanding of technology, Tesovic started the company at age 15 when he determined that song lyrics were one of the most common search terms on the internet, and recognized an opportunity to enter the lyrics marketplace. From there, he developed a script that would create a comprehensive database of song lyrics – and Metrolyrics.com was born.
Milun is currently finishing his business studies at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he received the Simon Fraser University Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2008. In the same year, MetroLeap Media was recognized as a Red Herring Canada Top 50 company, and earned the Burnaby Business Excellence Award. In 2009, Milun was named the National Student Entrepreneur Champion by Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE). Later in 2010, he was honoured as Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year by EO, where he beat out hundreds of entrepreneurs from all over the world.
As a true innovator, Milun continues to create lyrics applications, systems and services that propel the site’s hefty user base, working closely with his team of designers and programmers to ensure that productivity is miles high, and the quality is on point.
Today, MetroLyrics.com is the largest lyrics website in the world and the third largest music website in North America, with over 48 million unique monthly users.
