Millie Tadewaldt is the co-founder and CEO of CakeStyle, an online personal styling company that makes shopping easy for busy women.
Before founding CakeStyle, Millie was a Managing Director at Sandbox Industries, where she headed up the Foundry, a unique venture capital investment model that creates startups using internal ideas and teams of employee-entrepreneurs and specialists. In her role at the Foundry, Millie helped develop and grow startups like doggyloot, the leading flash sale site for dog products; Lab42, a social media market research company; CareSimply, a marketplace for at-home caregivers; and Foodini, a smart meal planning tool.
Millie was formerly a Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group where she worked with Fortune 500 companies and non-profits in a variety of industries, including financial institutions, consumer packaged goods and technology to develop new products, set pricing strategies, reduce costs and execute post-merger integrations. Millie also founded New Media Methods, a web development studio in northern California, where she also acted as creative director and lead engineer, and was a co-founder of DashMob, a hyperlocal instant deals service. Millie holds a B.S. in Design and a B.A. in Communication from UC Davis with Highest Honors and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
