Ms.Rimassa is a convergence media entrepreneur. She worked as an independent film financing consultant and editorial contributor to Billboard Magazine and other publications in the early 1990s, then joined Redwood Communications, LLC in 1993 as its Executive Vice President where she successfully completed 4 rounds of funding for the company and its successor, BlueVision Media, LLC. She led Redwood’s production, business development and global distribution. She executive produced 6 feature films, including “Other Voices” and “Mel” that continue to air on HBO.
Fascinated with Social Media and its convergence with traditional media, Ms. Rimassa was recruited by Nola.com, a Newhouse company, to lead its community development endeavors and act as the news organization’s Gulf Coast online bureau chief. During her tenure, Ms. Rimassa’s strategy lead to an unprecedented 300% increase in viewership. Upon her return to Los Angeles in 2009, she accepted a one year post as Executive Producer of the prestigious Topanga Film Festival before joining Sober Approach, Inc, in 2010 in the dual position of Director of Communications & Business Strategy for RoadAngels.com and Director of Sober Approach, Inc., the 501c)3) that funds RoadAngels.com.
