Mike leads product management, product marketing, professional services, and customer support for Mocana and helps define the company’s strategic direction. With over 12 years in the security industry, Mike has been recognized as a thought leader by spotting trends early and consistently bringing innovative products to market to meet ever-changing customer needs.
Prior to Mocana, Mike spent nearly a decade at security leader McAfee, where he founded the Data Protection business unit and was responsible for the unit’s global product management and strategy. Mike also played a leading role in defining McAfee’s business and product strategy in the mobile device and smartphone security arena, resulting in McAfee’s entry into the mobile device management (MDM) market.
During his tenure at McAfee, Mike enjoyed serving in multiple facets of the organization, including corporate development (M&A) and sales account management for customers in the Silicon Valley and Western United States. Prior to McAfee, Mike was a financial analyst for Deutsche Bank’s technology investment banking group.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley, as well as an MBA from U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
