Mike Petit is a co-founder and the Chief Information Officer of Hapax, an international software concern whose major line of business is OpenAmplify (www.openamplify.com). Hapax maintains offices in the United States, in London, and in Stockholm.
Mike has pursued a career in information technology and marketing since his entry into the workforce in 1979. A graduate of Vassar College, he has concentrated upon the application of Natural Language Processing to the explosion of user-generated content on the Internet.
His efforts have helped Hapax secure 12 patents with more pending, and his leadership in the creation of the groundbreaking OpenAmplify web service has been instrumental. He is an emerging thought leader in the Semantic Web space.
Mike resides in Annapolis, MD.
