Mike manages corporate development (strategic partnerships, finance, capital raising, growth initiatives) at Voxy, a VC-backed multi-platform language learning company based in New York City (SoHo). He joined Voxy in May 2014.
Mike founded and self-funded Pawsley, a social networking / social shopping site targeting a unique affinity group, which launched in March 2011. The platform monetized a niche market segment by providing a rich, interactive advertising and promotional channel to relevant vendors. Prior to Pawsley, and concurrent with his attendance at Columbia Business School, Mike was a consultant (finance and corporate development) at MeeGenius, a digital media and publishing platform.
Mike served as a Sr. Traffic Marketing Manager at Amazon from 2011 to 2013, focusing on customer-centric demand generation / business development initiatives for a $2b+ portfolio. In addition, he has over five years of experience as an investment banker in the business services, media and Internet group at BMO Capital Markets in New York City.
Mike earned his BBA from Emory University in 2004, and his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2010. Mike loves to surf Costa Rica, hit the gym, travel with his beautiful wife, and spoil his awesome Springer Spaniel. Woof!
