Mike Greenfield

Mike is co-founder of TeamRankings. After graduating with honors from Stanford University with a B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Science, Mike served as an early employee of PayPal, where he designed and built some of the company’s first fraud prevention models as a Senior R&D Scientist. He then moved on to manage the analytics team at LinkedIn, gathering and processing intelligence about the patterns and behaviors of millions of site users. Inspired to create objective and sophisticated methods to more accurately gauge the performance of sports teams, Mike started the original TeamRankings.com web site from his Stanford dorm room in 2000. In addition to his current role with Team Rankings, Mike is also co-founder and CTO of Bantr.com, the creator of Circle of Friends, one of the fastest growing applications on Facebook and Bebo. He is a rabid Stanford basketball fan and served as the captain of the Stanford squash team while a student, and as the coach of the Stanford women’s squash team after graduating.
