Dr. Miguel Membrado is a scientist and a serial entrepreneur, working in information technologies area since 1987 and in the internet field since 1995. Specialized on information retrieval systems, collaborative working environments, web 2.0 strategies and new company organizations, he’s involved in the internet revolution, not only about its technical aspects, but also about its cultural, social and organisational aspects.
Miguel Membrado founded Kimind Consulting in 2007 (London, UK) to help large accounts worldwide to enter the Enterprise 2.0 dimension. He’s providing strategic and consulting missions to help corporations to adopt this new paradigm and reach a new level in terms of productivity, quality, and competitiveness.
Miguel Membrado co-founded also Netcipia in 2006 (Palo Alto, USA), which is a Web 2.0 start-up offering free the creation of participative online communities to the Internet users worldwide and allow professionals and pro-amateurs to monetize their expertise online. These experts can invite their customers, partners, users, students, friends and so on to access their expert communitoes monetizing the accesses through different revenue models.
Prior to Kimind and Netcipia, he co-founded Mayetic in 1996, which gained by 2005 the first position on the internet about online collaboration, with more than 250.000 users from 14.000 organizations and 100+ countries.
Since 2003, Miguel has shared his vision for the Internet on his blog. He is regularly interviewed and has been invited to speak at several conferences in Europe, Asia and United States on the topics of e-collaboration, e-management and e-organization.
Miguel holds a PhD in artificial intelligence from the University of Paris (France). He also teaches PhD classes at several universities about “Entreprise 2.0 and new corporate organizationsâ€, “Web 2.0 strategies”, “Influence in the blogosphere”, “Digital reputation” and “Managing virtual teams”.
