Micki Krimmel (aka Mickipedia) is the founder of <a href="http://neighborgoods.net">NeighborGoods.net</a> a community where you can meet your neighbors and share your stuff.
Micki is well known in the Web 2.0 space for her community development work and her popular videoblog. Micki’s videos have been viewed millions of times across the web. Micki has worked with many technology startups and new media companies to build sustainable communities for authentic conversation and engaged participation.
Previously, Micki worked as Director of Community for Revver.com. She also built and managed the interactive department at Participant Productions, a media company founded with the mission to engage audiences in movements for social change. While at Participant, Micki created the company’s first online activist community and led the interactive media efforts for Al Gore’s <em>An Inconvenient Truth</em> as well as Participant’s other award-winning films.
Micki is also a contributor to <a href="http://worldchanging.com">Worldchanging.com</a>, one of the web’s most respected resources for news and information about sustainability. She has appeared in countless online and print publications including SXSW World, .net Magazine and Wired Magazine. Micki is <a href="http://www.oprah.com/article/omagazine/200911-omag-women-entrepreneurs/3">currently featured</a> in the November 2009 issue of Oprah Magazine!
Micki lives in Los Angeles and can regularly be found skating with the <a href="http://derbydolls.com/la">LA Derby Dolls</a>.
