As vice president of the Internet Growth Group for Best Buy Co., Inc., a multinational retailer of technology and entertainment products and services, Michele Azar is mapping out the company’s online opportunities to uncover and evaluate web service options, online community offerings and mobile applications to help create new customer experiences and innovate the business.
Throughout her 11 year career at Best Buy, Azar has held several leadership positions. Prior to her current position, Azar served as the vice president of Best Buy for Business, where she focused on developing products and services geared toward small-business customers and taking the business from a test program into a nationwide offering.
Before that, Azar served as the business general manager for Best Buy’s computer peripherals and accessories business. She also held leadership positions within inventory and merchandising for computer hardware and related products. Earlier in her career, Azar worked in various capacities at Target Corp. and The Gap, Inc.
Azar has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s in business administration from the Executive MBA Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
