Michael Slater
Michael Slater is CEO of Webvanta Inc. He has 30 years of experience creating value from leading-edge technologies. He also manages BuildingWebApps.com and BoatingSF.com.
Michael was previously Director of Technology Strategy at Adobe Systems. He joined Adobe when it acquired Fotiva, a venture-funded photo software startup he cofounded. Prior to Fotiva, he was President of MicroDesign Resources, where he created the Microprocessor Report newsletter and the Microprocessor Forum conference.
Before starting Microprocessor Report, Michael was an independent engineering consultant. He began his career as a member of the technical staff at Hewlett Packard.
Michael is the author of several books, including The Photoshop Elements 3.0 Book, Organize Your Photos with Photoshop Album, RISC Microprocessors, and Microprocessor-Based Design.
