Michael Sattler is a technologist with an MBA and experience as a hands-on, day-to-day senior executive. He is currently the co-founder and CEO of Cauzoom, an online community funding site.
Sattler received a degree in entrepreneurship from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College, then started two web-based software companies in quick succession, the second of which was sold to Bizland, Inc., which later became Endurance International Group, Inc., in 2000. He joined the Endurance management team and spent nine years as Vice President of Engineering, where he was responsible for product planning, web-based application design and development, large-scale project management and operations.
During his tenure, Endurance grew from a startup to the third-largest hosting company in the country, with revenues in excess of $70 million and headcount over 250. As part of the senior management team, Sattler was involved in setting high-level business strategy and processing more than thirty acquisitions, and was intimately connected with several fundraising rounds and the ultimate sale of the company to private equity firm Accel/KKR in 2008.
Sattler started incubator Opus Two Collaborative in 2010, dedicated to rapid business prototyping. Sattler took over the CEO role for Cauzoom, which emerged from the incubator in 2011.
Sattler received an undergraduate degree from Princeton University and lives in Belmont, Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
