Michael Ritter currently runs corporate and business development for SGN, a large social and mobile game company based in Los Angeles. Ritter oversees Mergers & Acquisitions activities, Licensing, Distribution and Partnerships.
Prior to SGN (formerly MindJolt), Michael was Founder and Publisher of Saturday Night Magazine, which at the time, he built into the largest circulated monthly collegiate lifestyle and entertainment magazine in the country. Services included event marketing, promotions and consulting for clients such as Geico Insurance, US Army, Playboy, Chegg, Fox, Universal Pictures and Warner Bros.
Saturday Night Magazine was the leader in breaking “up and coming talent”, being the “first magazine cover” for several popular stars including Sophia Bush, Emma Stone, Ashley Greene, Matt Leinart, Nikki Reed, Nina Dobrev, Heidi Montag and Audrina Patridge. Several television shows were shot on set at Saturday Night Magazine photo shoots including “E! News” on E!, “Beauty and the Best” on BBC and “Styl’d” on MTV.
Saturday Night Magazine was also known for it’s yearly Pac-10 Cheerleader issue, in which they held a 2-day photo shoot capturing all the cheer teams and team mascots.
Other notable issues included the bi-yearly Saturday Night Loud! sample CD and music issue. The motto was, read about the band and then listen to them. Participating artist included Jet, New Found Glory, Feist, Mute Math and Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional and Hot Hot Heat.
