Michael Reinicke is Co-Founder and Managing Director of carpooling.com. Reinicke studied managerial economics at the University of Würzburg where, as an MBA project, he established mitfahrgelegenheit.de (the original carpooling platform for Germany) with Weber and Siedler in 2001. From 2002-2006, he taught managerial economics at the Administration and Business Academy in Freiburg and Bayreuth. After completing a doctorate in information management and cloud computing in 2006, Reinicke began to work fulltime on mitfahrgelegenheit.de. In 2010, mitfahrgelegenheit.de transformed into an international network and carpooling.com was born.
