Michael Psarouthakis

Michael is the Vice President of Business Acceleration at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). He leads a team that is focused on and manages investments in alternative and green energy solutions, IT, agricultural technologies, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, advanced materials and defense opportunities in Michigan. He is in charge of launching the recently announced Pure Michigan Venture Match Fund and also oversees Michigan’s Centers of Energy Excellence program, a federal matching fund that provides grants for the commercialization of innovative energy technologies The entire portfolio Michael is responsible for has over 150 companies and approximately $240 million under management.

Michael has served on numerous board (BOD and advisory) including Pixel Velocity, Nanocerox, ElectroJet, Compendia Biosciences, Genetics Squared, eBay, Abebooks and KTM Industries.

He has founded and continues to manage: Extraordinary Things LLC, Bookpoi.com, WahooDomains.com.

Michael has a BS in History and Political Science from Eastern Michigan University and MBA and MS from the University of Michigan.
