Michael Mathieu is CEO and chairman of Affine, the first contextual targeting platform for online video advertising.
Affine’s technology provides unparalleled, in-stream visibility, giving brands, agencies, publishers and networks “TV-like” clarity and control over where ads appear. The company’s broad partner network provides access to more than 85 percent of online video impressions. Affine is based in San Francisco and is funded by Highland Capital Partners and Crosslink Capital.
Most recently Michael was CEO of YuMe, a premier video ad network driving explosive triple digit growth for the company during his three years with the company. Prior to YuMe, Michael was President at Internet Division Freedom Communications where he was a critical member of Freedom’s Senior Executive Team. Before joining Freedom, Michael was SVP for United Online, where he oversaw all aspects of the startup and the explosive growth into what is now a $65 million advertising company. Before that he worked with AT&T for six years, first as a marketing director and later as a VP and GM.
