Michael Mandahl

Michael Mandahl has more than 20 years of Infocom experience and a passion for early stage ventures. He has co-founded several successful companies. His first company Unusual Systems, a computer science think tank created in 1989, was bought by Guide (later Framfab); and his second start-up IQ Media, which pioneered the infotainment market in the Nordic area, was bought by BMG in 1996. Mr. Mandahl’s latest entrepreneurial role was as CEO of Mobeon. Mobeon is the leader in IP based voice and video mail. Mobeon was acquired by Ericsson in 2007.

In 2002, Mr. Mandahl joined Mobeon’s lead investor Brainheart Capital as a Venture Partner. At Brainheart, he was responsible for the investments in Meru Networks and Radionet, and he made a buy out from Ericsson which was integrated into Mobeon.

In 2005, Mr. Mandahl joined Nexit Ventures to establish the fund in Sweden.

After studies in informatics and business administration at the University of UmeƄ, Mr. Mandahl spent three years with research and teaching in the field of artificial intelligence.
