Michael Kleindl is one of Europe’s most renowned public figures in the Internet advertising sector, having gained extensive experience as the co-founder and CEO of AdLINK Internet Media AG, which he took public in 2000 (being the youngest CEO of any German IPO and public company at the time). Since 2003 he is a very active and successful business angel investor.
Michael has successfully invested in and exited companies such as Zanox.de AG (to Axel Springer AG – Europe’s largest media company), MAILPROFILER AG (to Schober Holding AG, Europe’s second largest data company), United MailSolutions AG (to Experian Ltd, one of the world’s largest marketing services company), Eyewonder Inc. (to Limelight Inc, NASDAQ quoted and 2nd largest Internet backbone business), Buy VIP S.L. (to Amazon Inc., the world largest ecommerce company), Adcloud GmbH (to Deutsche Post DHL Group, Germany’s largest corporate company), Smartclip to Adconion Media Group (a globally leading digital marketing company), amongst others.
His current portfolio of companies includes market leading companies in the digital marketing and ecommerce space in Europe and LatAm such as Smartclip Mexico, Mexico’s leading video advertising network; Crossinx, a fast growing company in the eInvoicing space; PayCo, a recently started company with a unique service offering in the large market about internet payment methods and, above all Plenummedia, Spain’s fastest growing technology and digital marketing company for SME, amongst others.
He currently serves as a Board member with Hi Media S.A., Europe’s largest public online marketing company. Michael has worked in the Internet and online marketing industry for over 18 years and is deeply familiar with the digital market landscape in Europe and loves deal making.
Michael holds a university degree in Business Administration from the European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel, Germany, a top-tier European Business School, and completed a 2-year management training program in one of Germany´s largest public banking institutions.
