Michael Fickenscher is the Director Sales & Marketing and former CEO of the small Swiss based software developer traXess AG.
The native German Michael Fickenscher came to Switzerland in 2001 starting in the sales department of the European headquarters of the Ruesch International LLC. a US financial institution based in Washington D.C..
After developing the German market Michael was transferred to Ruesch’s London office when the company experienced a regulatory drawback and had to stop their German sales activities.
After a short time in the UK Michael went back to Switzerland and was hired by a young software company in the business travel industry. Traxess AG at that time was one of the first companies which developed a traveller tracking system. A traveller tracking system locates travelers on a map by consolidating booking data from airlines across the world.
He spend one year as the Director Sales & Account Management before he became the companies CEO, leading them through a change management process which positioned the company as a major competitor in the traveller tracking business.
After handing over the CEO position in 2009 Michael is the new Director Sales & Marketing of Traxess.
