Micah is a cross-disciplinary designer, director, entrepreneur with a background in arts, digital technology, service design, and luxury design strategy. His facility with the application of design thinking to business problems has brought him clients as diverse as Louis Vuitton, MTV, Memorial Sloane Kettering, and Microsoft. Micah began his career as a travel/adventure photographer shooting for tourism boards and resorts; a short time later, he joined the crowdsourced invention company, Quirky, as their first design and research intern. In 2010, Micah started Playtime Collective, as a means of collaborating with other independent young designers on large projects. Playtime’s work has been featured in Forbes and attracted the notice of editors at Fast Company who engaged Micah to be a contributing writer and design expert in their Creative BrainTrust. In 2013 Micah led the conceptual design and build-out on two interior design/architectural projects for NYC-based creative firms. When he’s not building something future-oriented for a progressive brand or helping other young designers, he experiments with brain–computer interfaces (BCI), painting, glass blowing, and other fine arts. Micah studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Parsons, and The New School and works out of SoHo.
