Maz is responsible for Sky Portal’s social media strategy & implementation. The Portal has over 1 billion monthly page impressions & many millions of unique visitors: Sky.com, Sports, SkyOne, Showbiz, News, Careers, Webgames, Dating, Stars, Money, Motoring, Movies, TV, Property, Style, Travel, Arts, Bet, Poker, Vegas, Bingo. He works closely with each site, providing on-going technology & strategy assessment within the context of the competitive landscape & Site needs.
In addition to his role at Sky, he launched The Times’ online community & have advised Star TV, Sky Italy, Fox TV Channels and Times Culture +.
Prior to Sky, I co-founded Rareface & InfieldParking.com, a social networking site and growing online community of NASCAR racing fans in commercial partnership with its most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Prior to Rareface and Infieldparking, I was in charge of setting up the social networking department at iConcertina, an interactive media agency and founded 2Bmates.com a music social networkign site in 2004.
PR Week has named Maz as the most influential comms professional on Twitter in UK. He is also the founder of Mazi.TV, a web show covering the UK online scene and the London based Cozytweetup.com.
