Maynard Webb

Maynard Webb is currently Chairman of the Board at LiveOps, a board member at Salesforce.com and Yahoo!. Maynard is the founder of the Webb Investment Network (“WIN”), a seed-stage venture capital firm focused on backing outstanding entrepreneurs who are seeking to build transformational technology companies. WIN is also comprised of a network of over 75 Affiliates, who co-invest alongside WIN and serve as an on-demand network of seasoned entrepreneurs and operating executives to the WIN portfolio. From 2006-2011, Maynard served as CEO of LiveOps, a leader in cloud contact center technology that also leverages a virtual workforce of 20,000 U.S. based home agents. From 1999 to 2006, he worked at eBay, first as President of Technology and then from 2002 on as Chief Operating Officer, where he is credited with creating organizational processes and day-to-day structures which enabled eBay to grow from $140 million in revenue to over $6 billion in 2006, while the employee base grew from 250 to over 12,000. Before joining eBay, Maynard was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Gateway, and has held senior executive positions at Bay Networks, Quantum, Thomas-Conrad, Figgie International and IBM. Maynard has also served on several public and private boards, including Gartner, Niku, Extensity, Hyperion, Peribit (acquired by Juniper Networks), Baynote, and AdMob (acquired by Google) where he was also one of the first investors.

He also serves on the Advisory Board at Santa Clara University’s School of Engineering. Additionally, he and his wife created the Webb Family Foundation in 2004 to empower people to overcome the barriers that keep them from fulfilling their destinies. The Foundation supports individuals who are struggling against the odds to make a positive impact on the world through innovation and hard work.

Maynard has written a book titled “Rebooting Work: Transform How you Work in the Age of Entrepreneurship” which will be published in January 2013.
