Matthew has 15+ years of expertise in product strategy, experience design and web development. Prior to joining Crowdtap, Matthew was Director of Product & UX for Piczo, a tween social network with 12+ MM monthly uniques. At Piczo, he led product strategy to double Piczo’s US uniques in 6 months and launched a new subscription revenue service. Mr. Purdon also built and led the UX team for Hi5.com where he initiated their internationalization strategy and grew the product from 18 to 24 million uniques. Mr. Purdon was the development manager for Marketwatch.com prior to and during its successful IPO. Mr. Purdon has worked as a consultant for numerous start-ups as well as Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Purdon was also an adjunct faculty member for California State University’s Multimedia Graduate Program from 2000 to 2006. He holds a BS in Communication from Northwestern University and an MFA from JFK University.
