Matthew Knight / Reconstrukt
Designer, developer, entrepreneur, dad in reverse order. Twelve years in e-commerce, content management, ad serving for various household brands.
Matt brings twelve years in the field, across three core areas of systems expertise: e-commerce, content management (i.e. online publishing), and ad serving plaforms. In 2002, he started the digital production company Reconstrukt, which has since developed award-winning digital solutions for Fortune 500 brands.
An early adopter in open-source development, Matt began developing e-commerce solutions in 2003. In addition to traditional online storefronts, Matt has also developed and launched innovative e-commerce products ranging from Digital Music Downloads (Yamaha), to E-Books (Taunton Press), and Daily Deals (Allure Magazine). Recently, Matt began delivering social-commerce integration services for brands such as Snapple and Gap.
Working with content management and advertising systems, Matt has found a niche with publishing clients - having an opportunity to work with nine of the most recognized publishers in the New York area. These include such brands as Martha Stewart Omnimedia; Mansueto Ventures (Fast Company); Hachette Filipacchi (now Hearst, Car and Driver / Road & Track Magazines); AARP Publishing; Taunton Press (Fine Cooking); American Express Publishing; NBC/Universal; and Conde Nast.
In addition to streamlining the websites’ respective content management systems, Matt has also been involved in large-scale advertising integration initiatives, allowing for an interesting perspective on the pain points in the business.
