Matthew Kaufman is a serial entrepreneur who founded two Internet service providers (Scruz-Net and Tycho Networks), a podcasting-to-phone venture (Podlinez.net) and a peer-to-peer network technology company (Amicima). Matthew is presently Principal Architect for the Web Innovations Group at Skype. Prior to Skype, Matthew joined Adobe in 2006 subsequent to Adobe’s acquisition of Amicima’s technology assets and was the project lead for the development of RTMFP, RTMFP Groups, and the client-side architecture of HTTP Dynamic Streaming in the Flash Player. At Amicima, Matthew and his cofounder Michael Thornburgh developed the predecessor to RTMFP and invented many of its unique features. Prior to founding Amicima, Matthew was the Vice President of Network Operations at DSL.net, a nationwide business DSL Internet provider.
