Matthaus is a co-founder of mobile app search company Xyo where he currently heads partnerships and marketing. Before Xyo he's been a product manager at Spreadshirt (e-commerce), Gründerszene (media), Peperonity (mobile, Admob's largest publisher until 2008) and a business unit leader at La Fraise (e-commerce).
A move to Silicon Valley in 2008 saw him breaking important trend pieces as a VentureBeat contributor. Working on content and sales of the conference until 2011, he built up the MobileBeat conference series as co-chair with Matt Marshall. A regular blogger and speaker, he continues to contribute to the international conference circuit.
Passionate to help ideas develop into products and companies, he is an investor and advisor to other innovative startups.
