As the Senior Vice President of the Branded Entertainment Group, Matt oversees the creative strategy and execution of all of EQAL’s branded campaigns. Matt joined EQAL in 2008, when he was the Executive Producer of EQAL’s first foray outside of the LonelyGirl15 universe, “Harper’s Globe.” The award-winning series was a transmedia first for CBS, creating an innovative, interactive storytelling experience, aggregating an online community and bridging narrative across TV and the web. Matt’s tenure at EQAL includes architecting and running online communities for both celebrity partners and brands. Currently responsible for developing and running the creative and execution of EQAL’s branded communities, Matt is especially proud of the success of “Real Women of Philadelphia,” which fostered an engaging and rich community and helped Kraft’s Philadelphia Cream Cheese brand boost sales 5% since the launch of the campaign in 2010.
A University of Southern California graduate, Matt studied dual disciplines at USC’s School of Cinema-Television and Marshall School of Business. Prior to working at EQAL, Matt was a senior executive in creative development and production in the entertainment industry. During that time, Matt Executive Produced the Universal Pictures’ hit comedy “Role Models” and oversaw development and production of projects at major studios and networks including: Fox, Universal, Sony, HBO, ABC and CBS.
Happily married, Seigel credits his wife Alli for his introduction to EQAL, as she was and always will be the infamous “Nikki Bower” of Lonely Girl15 fan-series fame.
