Matt Mireles is a serial entrepreneur, blogger, athlete, and adventurer. He currently serves as the chief executive officer of Festive Research, an incubator for products that promote offline social interaction and fun. He is also the founder and former chief executive officer of Humanoid, a diversified technology company that builds tools for consumer media sharing as well as crowdsourced labor technologies.
Mireles paid his way through Columbia University, working as a paramedic in Harlem and the South Bronx before founding Humanoid. A two-time dropout of the University of California, Berkeley, he also drove an ambulance in Southeast Los Angeles and fought wildfires for the U.S. Forest Service as a member of the Modoc Interagency Hotshot Crew.
Mireles holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and has received management training from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
