Matt Mireles is the CEO of SpeakerText. He is a blogger, athlete and adventurer. A former journalist, his work has appeared in Newsweek, The New York Times and Silicon Alley Insider. He writes a blog about entrepreneurship called The Metamorphosis.
Before founding SpeakerText, Matt paid his way through Columbia University with little outside support, working two jobs as a paramedic in Harlem and the South Bronx. A two-time dropout of UC Berkeley, he previously worked as an EMT in Southeast Los Angeles and fought wildfires as part of the elite Modoc Interagency Hotshot Crew. He is an honors graduate of Columbia University and has received management training from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
