Matt Maloney

Matt Maloney is CEO of GrubHub Seamless. Matt previously served as co-founder and CEO of Grubhub.

Before conjuring up plans with his good friend, Mike Evans, to take over the online delivery world, Matt worked at Chicago-based Classified Ventures as a software engineer creating online solutions for Apartments.com. In 2004, Matt and Mike founded GrubHub.

Since GrubHub’s 2006 University of Chicago New Venture Challenge win, Matt has led the company through five rounds of investment funding, the acquisition of DotMenu and the 2012 launches of OrderHub and Track Your Grub.

Matt currently serves on the alumni board for the computer science department at the University of Chicago and sits on Gov. Pat Quinn’s Illinois Innovation Council. He also is the 2012 Built in Chicago Moxie Award winner for CEO of the Year and a regular contributor to The Wall Street Journal’s The Accelerators blog.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Michigan State University as well as a Master of Business Administration and Master of Computer Science from the University of Chicago.
