Matt Heindl helped build Heavy.com’s (http://www.heavy.com) business from 2003-2008 as the Vice President of Marketing, specializing in online video distribution and syndication, content seeding, user-generated content production/direction. Heavy’s traffic numbers rose from sub 100K unique visitors per month to more than 8 million in the US alone. He also build the Heavy audience in the UK and Canada: Two of Heavy’s largest revenue-generating regions.
Heindl was also invovled in establishing Heavy’s branded entertainment successes, driving promotions for Diesel, Reebok, Burger King, FX, Comedy Central and Sony among others: From brainstorm to pitch to production to promotion, and reporting.
In summer 2008, Heindl left Heavy to take over online marketing and operations at Ripe Digital Entertainment (http://www.ripedigital.com), transitioning Ripe from a mainly-VOD sell to a predominantly online offering.
