Matt Farnell is Co-Founder and CTO of Appsperse.
Born in Australia he started his first business at 21 developing a logistics decision engine for a mining company in Western Australia. He then moved to Singapore to work on an online advertising credit processing system. Since then he has developed a LCMS (Learning Content Management System) for Blackboard and a Patient Management System for the NHS (British National Health Service) in London. He then settled in San Francisco to work on a capital gains tax optimization system for Barclay’s Global Investors (realizing $40m in tax savings in its first year).
He then considered business school but after falling asleep at an MBA presentation he decided that the best school for business is the school of actually doing business.
Matt’s interests include analyzing the behavioral patterns of Hipsters. Exploring the road less travelled, snowboarding, testing the effects of microbrewery beer and working on tech products that solve problems for real people.
