Matt Bigge is the CEO and Co-Founder of Strategic Social. At Strategic Social, Matt is focused on building a world class company that leverages the social web for national security.
Prior to Strategic Social, Matt has been a successful investor and entrepreneur operating at the intersection of the technology and government worlds. Matt has co-founded over 10 companies including MeshNetworks (MOT), MILCOM Technologies, and Triton Network Systems (TNSI). In addition, he was an investor with both SVIC and American Capital where he focused on direct internet businesses and network infrastructure.
As the co-founder of MILCOM Technologies, Mr. Bigge led the acquisition and commercialization of over $1.5 billion in defense related technology ranging from wireless to software and networking equipment. Mr. Bigge was instrumental in applying that technology to create, found and invest in over 10 product companies such as Triton Network Systems (TNSI) and MeshNetworks (Motorola). Mr. Bigge has led corporate partnerships with Global 1000 companies such as Motorola, Nortel, Sharp, Dupont, Intel and Xilinx. Mr. Bigge also has deep knowledge and experience within the defense industry having structured partnerships with Lockheed Martin, ITT Industries, Raytheon and several other corporations and federal entities.
Prior to his business career, Mr. Bigge served in the U.S. Army with a distinguished record as an Infantry officer and Ranger in the 10th Mountain Division. Mr. Bigge has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSFS in International Politics from Georgetown University where he was also a Distinguished Military Graduate.
