Matt was an early player with technology thanks to his parents who bought him a Mac Plus at age 5. Before he turned 12 he was already running a Bulletin Board System (BBS) out of his basement and charging a monthly subscription fee to other kids who wanted to download games and software.
At 19 years old he left the cold French-speaking province of Quebec, Canada and settled in English-speaking Victoria, BC, where he had to learn a new language. Here he co-founded an internet startup doing internet marketing. In early 2006 Matt became an expatriate to Thailand and set to travel around South-East Asia while working on taketake.com.
Most recently Matt started dcovery.com a service that enables travelers to act on their online discoveries while traveling in the real world.
Matt specializes in UI/UX design, online marketing and search engine marketing and optimization. When he is not yelling at search engine result pages or hacking together servers and poking at something over SSH, you can find Matt watching movies, playing online games or driving his car somewhere in the world.
