Mat Balez is currently a geo-mobile Product Manager at Google. He led the launches of Google Latitude on iPhone, Google Maps on the Palm Pre as well as several versions of Google Maps for Windows Mobile & Symbian S60.
Prior to joining Google, Mat was involved with leading product development and launch strategy at Defensio. Defensio has since been acquired by Websense Inc.
Before that, Mat worked in the consulting world; both for RPO Management Consultants (now a part of SECOR Group) and Syllogix, which he co-founded after grad school.
