Masaru IKEDA is a tech entrepreneur, tech blogger/journalist and system consultant based in Tokyo, Japan.
He started contributing for IT-related periodical publications at 12 years old. After entering a university, it was at the dawn of the Internet, in accordance with the request made by Kazuhiko Nishi who is the founder of ASCII and well-known as Bill Gates’ Japanese partner, Masaru started surveys on IT industry in Asia and Silicon Valley. He has visited those regions for covering new technologies and services by interviewing many entrepreneurs.
He served as an architect and an engineer, and developed the entire platform for a nationwide ISP, and also he served as the Internet system consultant for a radio program of Nippon Broadcasting System. With his wide range of knowledge about new technologies, he helped an independent venture capital firm by providing due-diligence on IT start-ups.
He co-founded consulting firms, system integrators, and outsourcing agency specializing in system engineering.
