Masa Isono is a Principal at DEFTA Partners. He has been actively involved in corporate partnering and joint ventures between Japanese companies and U.S. and Asian partners for more than 15 years. At DEFTA, he is specifically in charge of value-creating activities for its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining DEFTA Partners, Mr. Isono was in charge of the $250 million direct investment of a Japanese retail giant into various Asian retailers. He has played an integral role in facilitating communication among management teams of portfolio companies and he has developed strategy to maximize the utilization of their resources. He has also served as the Director of a joint venture company in Hong Kong.
