Martin Larre Maldonado, 33 is a lawyer with postgraduate studies in Marketing and Postgraduate Course in TICs. With experience in e-learning projects in U.S. companies working for clients such as IDB, World Bank, among others. In Uruguay has worked for more than five leading of Special educational Projects for children, with extensive experience in product development for Spanish and Portuguese speaking children between 2-12 years.
Now he is the founder and CEO of Kidbox and his main purpose is making the WEB a safer place for Children: Kidbox offer a web service that will help children to enjoy the Internet in a safe and fun way. In addition to the economic attractiveness that this represents a change Kidbox provide enriching the way that toddlers interact with the Internet, providing a valuable benefit to families and therefore to society. Kidbox offer a free version for any family interested in having a web service that ensures the best use of the Internet by children, in order to improve their intellectual development. Kidbox also offer a version free to educational establishments, childcare facilities and other establishments for children.
Martin provides consulting services to companies like Disney, Discovery Kids, Schoolastic and OLPC project in Uruguay.
He is the director of TEDxMontevideo and Im leading the first Startup Weekend Montevideo.
He hosts the first and only TV segment about technology in Uruguay.
