Markus is CEO and one of the Founders of Grand Cru. Grand Cru was founded by 6 Finnish game industry veterans in 2011. Company vision is to revolutionize mass-market mobile, tablet and social gaming with user-generated content and synchronous multiplayer.
Previously the technologies developed by Markus and his teams played a key role in one of the most high profile game industry exits in Finland: the acquisition of Mr.Goodliving by RealNetworks in 2005.
Mr.Goodliving was one of the top5 mobile game publishers globally. During the 8 years Markus was at Mr.Goodliving/RealNetworks he was in various roles, including Head of Studio, Head of Technology and Head of Customer Operations EMEA. 100+ games was published, each supporting 4000+ mobile devices. Many of the games received industry awards like “Best Mobile Game of the Year”, “Casual Game of the year” and 10/10 reviews.
