Mark Wyszomierski currently manages Android development at Foursquare.
Prior to joining Foursquare, Mark co-founded Perk Mobile with Peter Nofelt in the start of 2008. Perk Mobile’s first product was building a location based game engine that ultimately lead to the development of Mobile Dead. Perk Mobile has since moved to mobile consulting and development services for web 2.0 and traditional media organizations.
From 2003 to 2008, Mark was Director of Software Development at CAD Sciences, which developed software to locate and diagnose cancer in the breast and prostate. CAD Sciences was acquired by iCAD Inc. in 2008.
Mark has a BFA degree from Carnegie Mellon University as well as an MS degree in Computer Science from New York University.
As a personal project Mark hosts samples he’s written demonstrating use of open source medical software packages. The site can be found at devsample.org. These examples have been used by a variety of interested parties ranging from students entering the field to members of Los Alamos National Laboratory.
