A frequent speaker at industry gatherings, Mark served two terms as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and was awarded the NAPFA “Distinguished Service Award,” given each year to the individual deemed to have made the most significant contribution to the financial services industry.
Mark is a 1989 graduate of the Master of Science in Financial Services program at the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is a nationally recognized expert in financial planning, appearing in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek, Fortune, US News & World Report, Kiplinger Personal Finance, Worth and Money Magazine, as well as on national television and radio shows, such as CNN and The Nightly Business Report.
Mark is a member of the Seattle Yacht Club and is an avid boater. He is a bicyclist and world traveler, enjoys cooking and cooking classes.
