Before co-founding Highway 12 Ventures in 2000, Mark was a general partner at Atlantic Capital Group, a Boston-based private equity firm which provided early-stage funding to companies worldwide. ACG also provided consulting services for local governments and companies in the former Soviet Union. While at ACG, Mark made investments in manufacturing, high-tech, and retail distribution sectors. Prior to his career in venture capital, he spent nearly 10 years in the financial services industry.
Mark is a director of multiple Highway 12 portfolio companies as well as the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association. He is also on the advisory board of the College of Engineering at Boise State University.
Active in the Boise community, he is formerly President of the Board of Directors of the Discovery Center of Idaho and currently serves on The Idaho Business Coalition for Education Excellence. Mark attended Lehigh University.
He continues to chip away at a lifetime golf habit, and enjoys camping in the back country of Idaho with his family and friends.
