Mark Murphy coordinates SecondMarket’s external and internal communications, public relations, public policy and government affairs efforts. In that capacity, Mark assists in formulating the strategic direction of the company, manages media relations, oversees legislative issues, and maintains the company’s relationships with members of Congress, federal agencies, regulators and other policymakers at the local, state and federal levels. Prior to joining SecondMarket, Mark worked as an attorney for seven years including, most recently, at a UK-based law firm. Mark earned a B.A. from Miami University and a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
