Mark McDowell is co-founder of Acta Wireless, a fund that invests in early stage companies that leverage wireless technology to transform traditional industries such as media, advertising, loyalty, education, healthcare and energy. Acta Wireless is a General Partner of Real Ventures and LaunchBox Digital, and a Limited Partner in the Imagine K12 Start Fund.
Mark has over 20 years experience in the wireless industry as a wireless operator and entrepreneur. He was part of the founding management team of four companies, including Invertix, a pioneer in wireless instant messaging and presence, and Telecorp PCS, which was acquired by AT&T Wireless Services. Mark served as an officer in the US Air Force during the first Gulf War.
