Mark is a serial entrepreneur who along with co-founder Michael Hoydich has founded and led two different companies from 2004 to 2007. IndustryNext, a technology and design services firm, whose clients include eBay, Sony, NBA, AOL and NBC Universal and Incognito Digital, an interactive marketing agency whose clients include OKI, Bloomberg, FOX, and Haier.
Prior to founding IndustryNext and Incognito Digital, Mark was the EVP of Sales and Marketing an executive officer role at Viewpoint Corporation (now Enliven Marketing), a small publicly traded marketing and technology company, where he negotiated a deal to add interactive video to Viewpoint’s platform, created a go-to-market strategy around online advertising, and helped acquire over 100 new clients in less than a year.
Mark has been in the interactive industry since its inception. He has worked for companies such as J. Walter Thompson; privately held Xcom, the first acquisition of USWeb which later went public and privately held Viant, backed by Kleiner Perkins, TCV, and Mohr Davidow and which later went public.
Mark led the design and development of some of the first commercial websites (optimized for the Mosaic browser) for clients such as Bell Atlantic, Rolling Stone, and New York Magazine and still has fond memories playing subscription-based games via cable on his Intellivison.
