Mark Caron has been on the forefront of change in the wireless industry for 19 years, including two successful startups prior to starting Snac, Inc.
Most recently Caron was Founder/CEO of MobileSpring/Ztango. The company developed the first cross-carrier text messaging network which proved pivotal in driving the growth of text messaging in the US. In 2003, Caron led the company through a merger with Ztango, a leading provider of ringtone solutions to US carriers. As CEO, he drove the company to sustained profitability within six months and later in 2004 sold the company to WiderThan (now part of Real Networks).
Prior to MobileSpring/Ztango, Caron spent seven years in Omnipoint where he was a co-founder and the lead marketing and business development executive at Omnipoint Communication services.
Caron entered the wireless industry in 1989 as a Product Manager at Ericsson Mobile Communications. He has an MBA at Harvard Business School and a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Dartmouth College.
