Maria Sipka, CEO and Founder of Linqia is obsessed with helping social networks, online communities and groups monetize. Maria’s vision is to drive value (relevant and interesting content, sponsorship, partnerships, new members, advertising, etc) into niche social networks, online communities and groups through an automated marketplace.
Prior to founding Linqia, Maria founded and lead a specialized communication/ marketing agency in Sydney, Australia focused on customer acquisition and retention strategies for b2b clients. Maria then became the COO and Director of Community Building at XING, where she spent 2 years launching and monetizing XING’s groups and premium group offerings.
Maria’s social vision is to connect leaders of online communities and groups in the developing world to the developed world. The Linqia platform will serve as a bridge to introduce community and group leaders to one another eliminating geographic, economic and political barriers to knowledge exchange, people and opportunities.
