Maria Sipka, CEO and Founder of Linqia is passionate about the online communities and helping to drive value into this ecosystem.
Maria’s vision is to help brands and businesses reach and partner with the hundreds of thousands of interest communities on the web with really passionate leaders – whose combined reach and traffic surpass Facebook, but yet who are largely ignored. The core of the vision focuses on brands and businesses delivering highly engaging content (not advertisements) into targeted groups via the group leader.
Prior to Linqia, Maria founded and lead a specialized communication/ marketing agency in Sydney, Australia focused on customer acquisition and retention strategies for the business sector. Maria then took on the role of COO and Director of Community Building at XING, where she spent 2 years launching and monetizing XING’s groups and premium group offerings.
Maria’s social vision is to connect leaders of online communities and groups in the developing world to the developed world. The Linqia platform will serve as a bridge to introduce community and group leaders to one another reducing geographic, economic and political barriers to knowledge exchange, people and opportunities.
