Marc Cousineau is the SVP of Engineering & Product at Rhythm NewMedia.
Before joining Rhythm as their SVP of Engineering & Product, Marc held the position of SVP of Technology at IGN, a leading gaming media site.
Prior to that Marc held the position of Vice President of Engineering at PurePlay, an online poker site that offers its members a 24/7 uptime gaming environment. Marc also spent four years as Director of Engineering at Netflix where he was responsible for developing and delivering “Instant Watching,” Netflix’s Video On Demand service. “Instant Watching” received glowing reviews upon its launch in January 2007.
Marc was also a Principal Architect at Rational Software where he was responsible for architecting and designing leading edge software testing tools for Rational’s Unified Process initiative.
The keystone of Marc’s success as a leader in engineering and technology is his substantial technical background. Marc is an accomplished engineer with a proven track record of designing and developing world class software. He has held senior engineering positions at Borland where he played a major role in the development of Delphi, Borland’s Visual Basic competitor.
Marc has also held lead engineering positions at Integrity QA, a startup that developed an entirely new category in the software testing market and in less than a year was sold to Pure Atria Software for over $40M. At Pure Atria, Marc took the role of Principle Architect in its Testing Tools Division.
Marc holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Computing from the University of Wales.
