Marc has a rich background in growing businesses in mobile enterprise software, wireless telecommunications, internet media and retailing.
Marc’s functional roles have spanned across sales, marketing, business development and product development. Prior to founding Canvas in 2008, Marc was VP and General Manager of Americas for Dexterra, a global leader in mobile enterprise software solutions. Prior to Dexterra, Marc was director for BlackBerry solutions at AT&T Wireless and Cingular, building the business from launch to an industry category. Marc started his mobile and wireless career by founding Mobiquity, which was acquired by Versatile Systems in 2001. An internet career pre-dated mobility, with senior leadership positions at the search engine pioneer Infoseek (acquired by The Walt Disney Company), and the world’s first internet retailer, Internet Shopping Network (acquired by IAC). Marc is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where concentrated in finance and accounting. He is a former U.S. Army Officer. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Dawn, and two sons, Benjamin and Lucas.
