He is a registered technical expert for the European Commission in mobile, navigation and internet services since 2008 as part of the Eureka program, assessing innovation fund grant applications from small and medium technology consortia across Europe. He is also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Panel.
Mandali is a Summa Cum Laude Masters graduate in Astrophysics from University College London. Having spent more than 10 years of his life at the cutting edge of mobile consumer electronics in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, he is considered to be one of the pioneers of modern online mobile navigation services technology. As CEO of Naviblog Corporation, he was named best Asia-Pacific technology entrepreneur by Red Herring in 2006, awarded the Best Practices award in Location Based Services by Frost and Sullivan in 2007 and the 2008 Yahoo! UK Advertising award for his groundbreaking marketing work with Diageo’s Guinness brand. He won the UK SciTech Challenges in 2009 for his proposal to manage sustainable food procurement to the London 2012 Olympics via mobile GPS.
