Lukas von Känel is a pioneer in the fields of IT security and the internet. He is currently CEO of AVANTEC AG, which he co-founded in 1995 and is now the leading IT security integrator in Switzerland. In addition, Lukas is co-founder of Sysformance AG (now a Gomez Company), as well as being a co-founder of DSwiss AG.
His earlier career included positions at AT&T Bell Labs and Tibco Inc., leading innovators in UNIX and TCP/IP networking applications. Lukas holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH).
